 Using Contacts for addressing Letters

Greetings to all,
I apologize if this is not the correct group to post this question in.
When using Office 2000 Word, I often utilize the envelope and label feature
which allows me to use the names and addresses in Outlook 2000.  However,
whenever I select the address tab and pull the name up from Outlook 2000,
the address sometimes does not automatically appear.  I have verified that
the address is entered properly.  For some reason, some of them do not
appear.  Also, that same feature seems to retain the names you select and
just adds to the list.  Is there anyway you can delete those?
TIA and HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!
Bill

I don't quite get the second part of your question, but for the first
part, it might have to do with the "this is the mailing address" check
box on the Contacts screen because of Outlook's 4 address options
(Business, Home, Other, and Mailing).  The Mailing address fields are
not editable.  They are filled in by checking the box next to "this is
the mailing address"  I don't know which address Word is looking for,
but if it's looking for the Mailing address and you don't have that box
checked in your Contacts, you won't see them.
My experience with addresses comes from synchronizing with my PDA where
I only wanted the Mailing address and had to double check that I had
that check box marked.

The Insert Address function in Word will default to the business address
when using the Outlook Address book in the Internet Mail Only mode of
Outlook 98. More details here:
