Hi all

Is it possible for me to synchronize my newsgroups within OE via OL2000 and
Task Scheduler during the night.

I have set Task Scheduler to open OE at a specified time and date but cannot
find an option which will tell OE to dial my ISP and synchronize the
newsgroups.  Is it wishful thinking on my part in assuming that all this is
possible.

  Oh, and by the way, I have Remote Power On enabled in the BIOS because I
have ACPI running (which, by the way is running faultlessly)day & night.

If anyone could help it would be appreciated.

Try Net Launch for the sceduled connection and launch of OE from:
http://www.blackcastlesoft.com/
An OE group should be able to help you with the OE synch. Try:

microsoft.public.internetexplorer.ie4.outlookexpress (for OE4)
microsoft.public.windows.internetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress (for OE5)

Your question should be addressed by those more experienced with OE issues.
If those News groups are not carried by the server you are currently using
then try the
msnews.microsoft.com server( Microsoft's Public News Server).
