Sent mail not really sent

 Sent mail not really sent

Basiclaly I find that people have told me that they have
not recieved my e-mail.  I then go to the sent items
folder and it says that it was sent (under the sent
column, date and time it was sent) but then I open it  so
that I can resend it and click actions, resend this
message and it says that the e-mail has not been sent.

THis happens very infrequently that is when people tell me
that they have not recieved my e-mail but it may be
happening very frequently but I can't tell since in my
sent items folder it says that it was sent. MY e-mails do
not show up in the outbox, they look like they are sent
immediately.

How can I tell if an message has been sent except to
notify me if it has been received? I don't want all those
notifications in my mail box nor "match up " all my e-
mails with their notifications. I should not have to do
this.

If I send an e-mail and it says that it has been sent and
the server does not accept it or whatever, then I do get a
notification of the non-delivery .  But these that I find
are not really sent are only found out about when people
tell me that they have not recevied an e-mail that I ask
them about.

I got your email and it looks like your reply posted to the board properly
as well.  I don't have a solution for internet email, but I did run into a
similar problem with Exchange (it turned out to be a setting on the Exchange
server that was set incorrectly.)

Thank you,

Steve
