outlook patch for windows 2ooo professional

Upgraded to Windows 2000 Professional from 98 2nd
edition.  Outlook is requesting to be reinstalled.  Will
this delete the current data in Contacts, Tasks, Inbox etc?

The system comes up with a "omint.dll" problem.

We absolutely cannot afford to lose any of our current
data we have on Outlook.  Whatever steps you can give us
that are necessary to make sure that NONE OF OUR CURRENT
INFORMATION IS LOST, would be greatly appreciated.

Reinstalling Outlook, 'should' not remove the data files.
I'd be safe and backup the *.PST file (inbox, calendar,
tasks, etc) and look for a *.PAB. If the user uses a
Personal Address Book, it will be in a *.PAB file. See one
of the following articles for details on backing up
Outlook data:
Q168644 OL97
Q181014 OL98 in Corporate/Workgroup mode
Q184817 OL98 in Iternet Mail only mode
Q195719 OL2000 in Corportate/Workgroup
Q196492 OL2000 in Interent Mail only mode

Type MSKB Qnnnnnn in the address bar of IE to retrieve the
article, where nnnnnn is the article number.
