You could always do a goggle search for ASCII Codes, which will turn up numerous
sites. Or you can got to Start | Programs | Accessories | System tools, and down
at the bottom you have a program called Character Map. Run it, and in the bottom
left corner you will se the Alt+xxx for the character that you have highlighted
in the preview screen

The back of the DOS 6.2 manual...or
http://www.tharo.com/documents/manuals/elwin/appendh.htm. All of these work
in file names, too. Alt-255 is especially fun.

Alt-171 is ?, Alt-172 is ?, Alt-155 is

Alt-246 gives me , 241 is , and 248 is .

Like Dennis said, you have to use the numeric keypad, not the numbers above
the letters.

In addition if you create your own "customized toolbar", add the omega
symbol to bring up powerpoints own character map window.
