Pasting Excel Link works, Pasting Excel Object doesn't

Pasting Excel Link works, Pasting Excel Object doesn't

I have a range of cells in Excel that I want to paste to PowerPoint.  When
I paste the range as a link to Excel the slide looks great;  however, I
would really prefer not having any links in my report.  When I paste the
same exact range as an Excel object, the bottom row of the range gets cut
in half.  Is there anything I can do so that the "paste object" works the
same way (visually) as the "paste link".

One method is to 'ungroup' the object once you have pasted it into
Powerpoint.  Then you are able to freely edit the elements & 'clean it up'
if necessary.
