Office 97 Excel to Powerpoint paste vs paste link

Office 97.  When paste linking from Excel to Powerpoint, the resulting
datasheet in powerpoint adds a"chart type" column.  Pasting seems to
work OK but I
need the paste link because I use multiple spreadsheets to do data
collection and chart preparation.  This process worked OK witn Office
95.

Thanks for your help

Jim, Paste linking from Excel to PPT has not changed in Office 97.
What in heaven's name are you doing? I can paste link a sheet range to
a page in PPT and to a chart data sheet in PPT's MS Graph with no
problems.
Please be more specific.
