 convert chart to graphic

I have a report containing a chart. I'd like to output the chart into some
graphic format so that I can display it on a web page.

I'm using Access 97. I've tried outputting the report to html but the chart
doesn't output with the report.

I did see in Access Help that some charts can be converted to graphics via
the Access menu, but that particular menu item is always grayed out. The
Help makes a cryptic reference to say that a data bound chart can't be
converted. I've played around with changing/eliminating the data source of
the report, removing field links, etc. but nothing I do makes that
particular item available.

I'd also be willing to use some 3rd party software if that would make things
any easier.

Any ideas?

David:

Either output it to a snapshot, and call the snapshot ActiveX control from
your web page, or print it to an Adobe PDF file, they have an activeX
control as well to display on web pages.....  If you are using Access 2000
and IE 5, then you can create an Access "Page" to display the chart.....

Maybe our product will suit your needs.  It is designed to make access
reports available over the Web.  So a user can come to your web site or
Intranet and request a report, and it will be created and sent back to the
user as a Adobe PDF file, (or you could use snapshot if you want).

Either way use Adobe PDF or Snapshot format and forget about trying to use
HTML.  Or you could skip using Access and use a graphic package to create
the chart and data (something like Graphics Server), this would work in
conjunction with Active Server pages to dynamically make charts in HTML.

Hope this helps,
