Applied border to some text... First few words start with font size 36. I then want to have a size 12 font on the same line to the top edge of the border...however because of the size difference in fonts it takes me to the bottom of the size 36 font on the same line. How can I do what I want? Thanks. Jason Clark ---- Tired of your phone company ripping you off? Wipe the smile off their faces at: www.radiuscom.com (My I.D 010716512)

It works for the first sentence of the text on the right-hand side. When I try to apply it to the second line it doesn't work in the same way. Instead of raising the text on the second line, it keeps it's position and text below moves downwards. Also noticed it's not possible to raise a block of text all at once. If I manually move the second line up it erases the top line at the same time. Is there also a way to align the two blocks of text centerally? Thanks. Here we go....... I want to produce text surrounded with a border. Like this: Pays $90 Per Sale! Mail Your $217 Check or M.O To: Jason Clark 62 Edwin Ave http://www.Speed-Enrollers.com Woodbridge, Suffolk, UK , IP12 1JS Order On-Line Or +44 (0) 1394 389088 Mail in a Check
Pays $90 Per Sale!=(size 36 font) Mail Your $217 Check or M.O To:=(size 12 font) Where I am having problems is getting "Jason Clark" positioned at the bottom of "Pays &90 Per Sale" And aligning both sides of text centerally. think it's because of the different font sizes on each line. I can get "Mail Your $217 Check or M.O To:" so it's aligned to the top of the border now. Hope this makes it clearer as to what I am trying to acheive. Jason Clark -- -- P.S. This strikes me as the kind of layout that cries out for a table. You can add borders as needed, and you can align text within cells as Top, Center, or Bottom and adjust it by adding Space Before/After as needed (or, in Word 2000/2002, you can adjust the internal margins of individual cells). -- Suzanne S. Suzanne, I have put the text as required into the table. How do I delete the table and keep text (in same position) without it disappearing with the table? Do I apply the border before deleting the table? Regards, Jason -- www.suffolkwealthbuilders.com

Why do you want to delete the table? You can Convert Table to Text, but this will defeat the purpose of the table. -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA Word MVP FAQ site: http://www.mvps.org/word

I was a bit quick to post. I thought by having a table it would show up when I printed. Regards, Jason Clark -- www.suffolkwealthbuilders.com
