Rounding To nearest 05 Cents in Excel 97

I have a problem in that I need to calculate a rounding to the nearest
$0.05.  That is if my currency amount is $2.67, then I need to round down
to $2.65.  If my currency amount is $2.68, then I need to round up to
$2.70.  If my currency amount is $2.62, then I need to round down to $2.60,
and if my currency amount is $2.63, then I need to round up to $2.65.  Can
anyone help me with the formulae I would need to use?

Rounding To nearest 05 Cents in Excel 97
Hi Galuys!

Nice maths and logic, but there's a general purpose function that does it!

=MROUND(2.67,0.05) returns 2.65

General Syntax:

=MROUND(PriceToBeRounded,RoundingAmount)

Note that this is in the Analysis Toolpak set of functions and if the
Analysis ToolPak Addin is not in the Tools > Addins dialog box you will need
to re-install Excel and select the Analysis ToolPak option.

As usual functions are faster if there's a lot of them and its general
purpose as far as the rounding amount is concerned. For example, you can
nest an IF or VLOOKUP function in the rounding argument that rounds based
upon the pricetoberounded.
