 GPF Error cannot be determined

Hello,

Why would I get the following GPF error when I run my script in an excel wb,
but not get the error when I F8 through the workbook.  This is just recently
started in several wbs I created.

EXCEL caused an invalid page fault in
module <unknown> at 0000:2612468e.

 GPF Error cannot be determined

Richard,

If you look at the "Stack Dump" section of the message, you'll notice
that it is the Hex values for the string:

"Please post the code that is causing the problem."

 GPF Error cannot be determined

*The code was written a while ago and it seems to have something to do with
the
oleaut32.dll file.  The dll was recently upgraded on my clients
machines...When testing this on another network, I got the same bug.  But
when running it on the machine I originally wrote the model, it worked fine.

 GPF Error cannot be determined
Richard,
there was a recent KB article on a problem similar to what you describe.
The OLEAUT32.dll upgraded by VB6, MDAC and something else caused a GPF
if you try to use the default property of a range (Value) when making an
assignment.  Change all your

rangeref = something

to

rangeref.value = something

HTH,
Tom Ogilvy
