Hi, is there no possibility to run a EXCEL Macro directly
from the command line similar to access?
...\msaccess.exe 'filename' /x 'macroname'

I didn't find anything similar fro EXCEL:-(

Does somebody know more?

You can place code in an Workbook_Open() event handler in a workbook that
will execute when the workbook is opened. I do not know if you can specify a
particular macro on the command line as you describe.

Phil,

Excel does not have this capability. You can load a particular file, but
there is no provision to run a specific macro. However, you can have an
Auto_Start macro or a Workbook_Open event macro in the file that will run
when the file is opened. To load Excel and the file from the command line,
just enter the path to the file:

"C:\Data.xls"

The quotes are required if there are special characters in the string such
as blank spaces.
