 Transfering From Sheet-to-Sheet Without Hyperlinks

I have an XL97/XL2000 add-in that allows the user to open up many worksheets
each looking at different bits of data.

The users now want a table of contents (TOC) worksheet for the workbook that
provides an index of what's on each worksheet.

I implemented code to generate the TOC and place on each row that describes
one of the worksheets in the workbook a hyperlink to the appropriate
worksheet.

Sounds good but it doesn't work.  My application depends on SheetActivate
events being raised when each of the worksheets is selected and transferring
to a worksheet via a hyperlink doesn't raise this event.  It turns out this
is a documented problem in the MS Knowledgebase for XL97 and XL98 (there is
no similar article for XL2000 but it doesn't work there either).

Can anybody suggest any other clever way to effect the transfer?

I could place a command button on each row instead of the hyperlink but it
feels like overkill.

TIA,

Josh

Make a cell look like a hyperlink (blue underlined text), and use the
worksheet_SelectionChange event to activate the sheet.  Same look, same
action, different effect.  (you won't be able to arrow into the cell to edit
it - but that shouldn't be a requirement).

Thanks Tom.  I had thought of that option earlier on and then forgot about
it!  So thanks for bringing it to my attention again.
