 Drop down box, list box

Hi
I am resubmitting this question.  If anyone can help
or direct me in which way to head.  How can I create a
drop down box or combo box that
contains other drop down boxes as it's choices?  I have
created a combo box that has a list box and it's choices
are 8 items in another work book and when I click OK it
puts that choice at the active cell.  This part works.
But I need list boxes as choices.  Thanks for any help you
can give me.  Jay
.

Sub addcbs()

Dim oleo As OLEObject

Sheet1.ComboBox4.Clear

For Each oleo In Sheet1.OLEObjects
    If TypeName(oleo.Object) = "ComboBox" Then
        Sheet1.ComboBox4.AddItem oleo.Name
    End If
Next oleo

End Sub

I'm glad it works, but I don't understand what it means.  What is a "combo
box that has a list box" and when do you click OK?  Are you using a
userform?

List boxes or combo boxes?  And when you click OK, what do expect to happen
with the selection?

Post back with some more details.

>Thanks{*filter*} for replying.  I do have a combo box that

shows a command button when clicked on it pops up a
userform that contains a drop down list.  The choices in
the drop down list are contained on another workbook
[Book21].  When I make my choice it puts choice at active
cell location and goes back to workbook [Book21] and
copies to the right two cells from the same row as the
choice item from drop down list.  These drop down choices
are just one series of equipment that I want to choose
from.

I have equipment with different Series of equipment and
different types.  Heat Pumps, Air Conditioners, Furnaces,
etc. are types and "10HPB" , "12HPB", "HP26", etc. are
series in my Heat Pumps.  I would like to click a command
button and up pop choices of Heat Pump, Air Conditioner,
Furnaces, etc.  and after choosing the above I would like
to have choices of Model numbers of the Series chosen.  If
this makes any sense I need help.  It took me a long time
to get the linking from one workbook to the other done.
Thanks Jay

I think I get it now. You want to populate a second combobox with model
numbers based on the choice of the first combobox.  You need to identify the
range of model numbers based on the choice of the first combobox.  How you
do that exactly depends on how your data are laid out.

If you like, you can send me the workbooks privately.  Or post back with the
exact layout of book21.  Of course, don't post the workbooks to the
newsgroup.  Are heat pumps, air conditioners and furnaces all on different
sheets or on the same sheet?  Are they organized by column or by row?

Let me know how you want go from here.
