Stupid name-reference in Excel 97 annotations

Hi, does anyone know how to get rid of the name-reference (in this case my
own name) that appears in the first line of every new annotation made in
Excel 97? I am going nuts - I know already that it is me that makes the
annotation...

It is possible to take away the "user-name", and the name disappears, but it
is then replaced with three small dots, and the first line is waisted in any
case.

And, by the way, it is possible to make the "default" annotation-window
larger?

Thanks in advance

Once the username is enter, which I believe is obtained from the
tools=>options=>General tab, it is read only.  I understand If you put a
single space in the user name of Tools=>options=>General tab, you will not
get three dots.  I have not tested this, but I believe this was sent out in
the dummies Daily Excel Tips email on last Thursday or Friday.
