Location of Personal Address Book in the Address Book List

We have several Exchange servers across the WAN.  When you open the
address book on some of our workstations (NT 4.0 SP3, Outlook 8.02.4212)
The personal address book is at the top of the list prior to the entry
for the global address list.  On other workstations configured
similarly, the personal address book is at the bottom of the server
list.  We understand that there is no real difference in functionality,
but several users have complained that it was inconvenient.

Is there a way to drive where the personal address book appears in the
address book list?  We have not found a logical explanation for how it
appears at present.

Hi
Go to the Tools Services and select Addressing tab.
You can specify the order of address book and default address book when you
open address book or when you click on "TO" on a new message.
Mine.

We tried this.  All that tab does is specify the order of the address
resolution, and which address list comes up as the default.  It does not change
the order that they appear when you click on the To: button.

Here's a quirky way.  Create a new profile for the user.  When adding
services to the profile, add the Personal Address Book first.  Now the PAB
will show up as the first entry in the "Show Addresses from:" drop box.  I
have verified that the address book services appear in that list in the
order in which they were added to the profile.
