Mail Merges (address labels) Using MSWord Address List

I have an address list I created as an MSWord document with field on
separate lines (Name, Address Number, City, State, etc.) that I wish to
merge into a label format, so that on one page of labels I will have one
address after another (as opposed to one repeating).  How do I do this?  I
keep getting the run-around from the built-in MS help docs.

Thanks,

Noah

If what you're saying is that you have:

Name
Street Address
City, State ZIP

or, better, still

Name
Street Address
City
State
ZIP

then you can use Convert Text to Table on the Table menu. But first you'll
have to set the text up appropriately. If you already have a paragraph
return at the end of each line, you're all set. If you have line breaks
instead, first convert them to paragraph breaks (Replace ^l with ^p). Make
sure you have the same number of lines in each block. Convert the text,
breaking at paragraph marks, and making sure that the number of columns
entered in the dialog is the same as the number of lines in each address. If
you have two returns (an empty paragraph) at the end of each address block,
you'll need one extra column, which will be empty and can later be deleted,
or you can start by replacing ^p^p with ^p to remove the blank lines.

Once you have the text in a table, create a heading row so that you'll have
field names instead of Field1, Field2, etc., for a mail merge to work with.
This table will become the data source for your mail merge. You can either
select the appropriate labels first and then choose Mail Merge or start with
Tools | Mail Merge and then select the labels. Then just follow the Mail
Merge Helper through the process.
