transferring Outlook Express 6.0 .dbx files

transferring Outlook Express 6.0 .dbx files

I downloaded my emails from a new (6 month old) Dell computer that has WXP.
(with OutlookExpress 6.0)

I installed them on a CD burner so I could transfer them to a new (3 week
old) Gateway computer that has WXP also.  (with OutlookExpress 6.0)

They are .dbx files and I cannot upload them on the Gateway, because a
prompt comes up saying they are "Write Protected" or something like that.

Can someone explain to me in," layman's terms" how I might be able to do
this.  I used a CD-R disk, when I downloaded them.

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

if you are trying to cut and paste your file to your new
computer, you cant, cdr disk info is read only, try doing
a copy and paste instead, i use it all the time to
transfer info from my cdr disks
