I am tired of even trying...

I am trying to create a query that will eventually feed data into a
report.  The report I can do, once I get all the data I need into the
query.  The query is the problem.  I have one table that contains some
information and a date field, I have another table that has different
information and also contains a date field.  I want to create a query
that will pull all information from one table but only count the
number of records in the second table for a stated date range (based
on the date field from table one).  Thought I had it figured out but
the current problem is that if the date fields contain different dates
(but still within the stated date range) those records are not
counted.  I need to be able to pull all info from one table and count
the number of records from the second table within a stated date range
even if the dates from the two tables are not the same.

Thanks for any help

Can you specify the dates in the Criteria row under your field, e.g.:
    Between #1/01/1998# And #12/31/1998#

If necessary, you can use a calculated field in the queries, e.g.:
InRange: [MyField] Between #1/01/1998# And #12/31/1998#
