VERY URGENT: Word 97 - References

Problem:

Create a document template with VBA calling code in a global template. You
have to put a reference to the global template. When the document template
is used on a different machine the global template can be located anywhere
but the reference in the document template still points to the origional
location causing an error.

Ideas anyone?

Try opening the global template using the FileSearch method.

Hi Antony.

Heres some help from the other side of the globe.

VBE.ActiveVBProject.References.AddFromFile ("C:\winword\start\global.dot")

Include this in your templates autonew module. And you also have to check
that the reference isnt already checked. Use a similar command to find
out.
