Customizing menus in Word 6
Some advice, if you please . . .
As the subject line says, I'm working in Word 6. I'm putting together
a WordBasic routine that customizes menus according to what the user
requires and/or is authorized to have.
The macro starts out by deleting each menu entirely. It then checks an
.ini file to see which menus the user is supposed to have and which
commands should appear on those menus. The menus are then rebuilt.
Works great, except for the File and Window menus.
My problem with those is the list of recently used files (File menu)
and the list of current windows (Windows menu). I can't figure out how
to restore these lists; they don't seem to have corresponding
commands.
I notice, by the way, that the Customize dialogue box grays out the
"remove" button when these lists are selected.
Anyway, is there a technique for restoring the lists after the menus
have been deleted?
TIA for any help.
