What is it about the Microsoft newsgroups that make them spit out messages
from 3-6 months ago every once in a while? I'm now looking at 455 messages,
maybe 5 or 6 are today's (one is dated tomorrow and received yesterday but
that's another matter).

When the quantity is 'large', they are old messages. When it's a few they
are usually {*filter*}. All old dates. Only on Microsoft NG, not having this on
others I sub to (non-Microsoft).
