 Importing Contacts Fails

When 5.02 began to constantly crash, I downloaded and re-installed a fresh
5.02. However, the new version also continually crashed. Only once I'd
removed my Identity folder and placed it on the desktop, did the new 5.02
install correctly. However, it will not allow me to import my Identity
folder from the desktop, the process just cancels out. Does this mean my
identity files are corrupted somehow? I've tried importing them separately
'addresses', 'accounts' etc but it still cancels out. This means I've lost
all my addresses, old mail etc - anything I can do to rescue them?

Read section 3.2 in the Outlook Express Read Me and follow the instructions
there.
