When I start Word97 it always opens document 1, this I never use because I
want to use
a template. It would be very handy when on starting Word the 'new template'
window is shown, does anybody know
if this is possible.

Hi Gerrit,

It is possible to control how Word97 is started by adding several
parameters after the shortcut with which you start Word97. Have a look in
the menu "Help / Contents" for "Set up Microsoft Word / Set up the way
Microsoft Word is being started" (or similar wordings: I had to translate
from Dutch. Since you are Dutch as well: Zoek naar "Bepalen hoe Microsoft
Word wordt gestart").
