OE (Danish version)- corrupted fonts on outgoing mail ?

In properties for outgoing ordinary mailI have choosen Arial 'Normal' - 12
pitch
Problem: OE overrules these setting by using Arial 'BOLD'

I've tried to repair the font by running the TweakUI tool to no avail ..
Any suggestions here ?

IE Tools>Internet Options>General>Accessibility> Is anything checked here?

Does this happen to Plain Text messages as well as HTML?

Answer: Fonts for Web and plain text both set to Courier New based on Latin

OE (Danish version)- corrupted fonts on outgoing mail ?
That's in IE Tools>Internet Options>General>Fonts.  I was asking about IE
Tools>Internet Options>General>Accessibility.  If anything is checked here,
uncheck it and reboot.

Are you seeing this in copies of your sent mail in Sent Items or is the
recipient(s)?

Windows version?

Is this a sudden/new problem or an ongoing one?  What changed in your system
shortly before the problem occurred?   Knowing about a setting change or
added software or hardware may be helpful in solving the problem.

Is Hotbar installed or any other OE "helper"?  Check your system for
"hijackware":

Dealing with Hijackware
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/Darnit.htm#tshoot
http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm

You *must* seek updates for Ad-Aware, Spybot, etc., before each and every
use, even "right out of the box".  But even then, they can't catch
everything.  HijackThis (http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip) is the
preferred tool to use these days.  It will help to both identify and remove
any hijackware/spyware.  **Post your files to http://forums.spywareinfo.com/
for expert analysis, not here.**

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan.  From
now on, do both daily.

You might also try a new Named Identity, Finn, in case your current one if
damaged: File>Identities>Add new identity.  If all is well, import messages
from the old Identity before deleting it (File>Identities>Manage
Identities).

I think i've located the culprit ..  Before the problem occured 'all of a
sudden' there was a kind of toolbar in OE and IE.  named 'My Web Search by
Fun Web Products'
I uninstalled it immediately and ran RegCleaner and Spybot - newest version
in order to remove all remainings. Not a few i may add ..
BUT the fonts are corrupted as a result of this toolbar I'm afraid
Thank you so much for your kind assistance in this matter

PS:
Win98 se plus all updates and servicepacks
Sorry about the misinterpreting of IE tools >Internet opts>General
suggestion
Yes, a new Identity is what i consider ..

Until your 100% certain that all traces of 'My Web Search' (and other
hijackers, possibly) have been totally removed, I don't think a new Named
Identity will help at all.  (You should be able to reinstall the fonts from
your Windows CD.)

1. My Web Search = MyWeb ("drive-by" install with Grokster, Morpheus, and
other P2P file sharing programs)
http://www.winpatrol.com/db/freesample/mwssrcas.html

Possibly a CoolWebSearch variant:

CoolWebSearch Chronicles & CWShredder
http://www.merijn.org/cwschronicles.html
http://www.merijn.org/files/cwshredder.zip (download)

2. Dealing with Hijackware

Happy to inform you that i made a new Named Identity. It works fine,
subsequently i deleted the bad Identity.
